new Statement Platinum MM
cartridge uses a modified four-piece
OTL cantilever technology
achieving a 10% tip mass
reduction over the Prestige
series and ultra-high purity
long crystal (UHPLC) oxygen free
copper wire in the coils.
Platinum uses Grado's specially
designed elliptical diamond
mounted on a brass bushing.

Statement Platinum utilizes gold
coil wires, a boron cantilever
and a diamond cut specially for
Grado. All this is hand-assembled
within a machined Autralian
Jarrah wood housing.
The Statement has a total of 380
turns of wire on each of its
four coils, compared to 6,000
turns for the Reference. Fewer
turns of wire on the coils
shortens the distance the signal
must travel from 125 to just
over seven feet! The new coil
wire also has 16 times more area
for carrying the signal, for
optimum signal transfer. The
Statement Platinum offers
enhanced tracking with improved
imaging and more musical
information. All of this comes
with Grado's usual warm, smooth,
full-bodied, non-fatiguing and
rich sound qualities.
